Star afar, blanketed in shadow
Tell me what you see
That which I do not,
Open my eyes;
Show the distant skies.
Windowsill so graceful,
I speak to thee as so
Cradle upon my fingertips,
Chiseled woodgrain bow
Splintered sodden edge.
Pink and blue frothy clouds,
Obscure this star shun afar
Fly away with my heartache
And return as gallant as before.
Return to me with my lover
For now, for then,
and certianly forever.
Return to me with my forbearance
To grace me as it does;
Ability to stand tall,
Despite although a rocky fall.
This wish I cast away from me
As I watch it float alone,
Uneasy, hurt and battered,
Though know with all my heart
I shall not be disappointed.
