I’ll Miss You

You did this to me.
Even if you didn’t mean to.
I slide the knife over my skin, feeling the coolness of the silver blade.
I thought I loved you.
You are so beautiful.
The best.
I knew I’d never have you.
That killed me.
Then when you got mad at me.
What’s the point of living?
I slice deeply into my left wrist,
A new mark for the rest.
I’ll miss you.
And our friends.
And everyone else, though I try to fool myself into thinking that I won’t.
But you the most.
Though I hate you,
I still love you.
Even if you don’t want me to.
Or you don’t back.
You never did, and never will.
The blood flows, more than ever before.
Did I cut too deep?
I hope so.
I love you.
I’ll miss you.
And the rest of the world.
Goodbye.
And I lay down on the cold ground,
Dying,
As the blood colors the snow something different.
