A/N: I had a thought that I should give up on this story, but I still did chapter 2.
Change of Time
Chapter Two
The Time Machine! I knew it was true. Annie stepped closer; she stretched out her right arm forward just barely touching the silver coating of the Machine.
The machine had a look like a soda pop can. It has two levers on top of the machine and on the left of the levers, there was a screen with two red button below the screen and three blue buttons below that.
Annie was fascinated by the appearance of the time machine. She walked a little closer to see everything. To the right of the levers, stood a funny looking bar with a ball in the center. The ball was grass green colored and it stood by it’s self on the side.
Annie’s eyes widen with all the parts. In her mind, The Time Machine always looked like a surfboard with yellow and red stripes on it and it is controlled by voices. It is nothing like the want she is looking at right now.
For the first time Annie was afraid what would happen if she accidentally pressed one of the button. She walked behind The Time Machine to search for any label that would help her to use the machine.
There were more boxes and holes on its side,
but no instructions.
Then she thought,
‘If Kay doesn’t need me, I shall grant her wish.’
Not knowing what she was doing, Annie pushed all the red buttons and pulled down both levers, and suddenly she felt that it was empty below her foot. Slightly bending down her head, Annie noticed that she was floating three feet above the ground. It seemed that she had been there for five minutes until the machine began to speed up dragging her with it.
Annie was excited and worried. She wondered where it was taking her, but she believed that anywhere is better then where she lived.
By the thought of that, she began to feel free and relaxed.
As the Time Machine, traveled, she got separated from the present and went into a strange colorful tunnel. Everything passed Annie with a flash that made her dizzy.
Without even a notice, The Time Machine came to a sudden stop, like a fast car stepping on its break to prevent it from running into an object a head. Annie wasn’t able to stop herself in time and she fell forward, flipped in to the air and landed on her back with “Thump!”
“Ouch!” Annie started to complain, but the sight she was seeing cut her of.
“Where am I?” She said wryly.
“Hello? Anyone here?” She asked knowing she wouldn’t get a response. There was nothing here except for miles and miles of rocks. There were no life for miles and miles and Annie knew she was the only living human here.
‘What am I suppose to do?’ She thought, but she stopped herself before she started scaring herself.
“The Time Machine!” She shouted. “it brought me here, it will get me out too!” While speaking to herself, she started wandering around, staring to the right, looking toward her left, but the Time Machine was nowhere in sight.
At this point, Annie started to worry, ‘Am I being trapped here forever?’
Thoughts traveled through her mind. She missed Poofy. She even wanted Kay.
Tears began to well up in her eyes. It was no use to cry, she needed to find the Time Machine.
Annie started to pick up her pace, but swirl of wind blew from behind.
Annie jumped.
Turning around, to see what’s behind her. She started to walk backwards.
Every sound made her jump. Finally, she stopped, when she bumped into a hard medal material.
First she jumped.
Then she slowly tipped her head a little and looked behind her.
Her eyes glittered when her sight fixed on the silver covered TIME MACHINE. She had never been so glad to see it, but her questioned head replaced the excitement.
Then thoughts traveled through her head again. 'how did she get here?'
'Where was she?'
Annie’s eyes wandered around the Time Machine trying to find something that would give her some clues. Her gaze fixed on the screen of the Time Machine.
Future
Year: 45983
“What did I do?” Annie asked herself eyes wide opened staring at the screen.
“WHERE AM I!” She shouted and her voice spread for miles and miles.
