The rain falls from the darkening clouds,
Melding with my tears,
They go unnoticed.
It all reflects my mood,
Cloudy, gray, angry, deceitful.
I hate myself as much as I hate the clouds!
But I am the clouds.
I am greedy,
Raining upon others without a care.
I am weak,
Sending the rain to do my bidding.
I am stupid,
Rain does not hurt them; ice does.
I am a liar,
Just when you think I will go away, I return
But.
I am misunderstood,
For sometimes I trap in heat, making it warmer outside.
I am kind,
The pattering melody of rain against the roof can be utterly calming.
I am distracting,
My cold rain can lead you away from your loneliest thoughts and darkest
fears.
Oh, how I envy the sun,
Pleasing the Earth with its warming rays,
I cannot do such a deed.
But that is not my destiny,
On this cold, rainy Gray Tuesday.
