The melody summons forth
Thoughts of the last time
When last together you were
The sounds of nature surrounds
Bringing joy to your souls
The mountains majestic stood
Whilst you laid your heart bare
Bird song calms your frantic mind
Your heart was captured there
Amidst the wild free wood
Longing to recapture the moment
The bird sung melody brings dreams
Of a different time and place
Imprisoning your heart yet more
To the one you still long for
Fanciful dreams fill you mind
Hoping one day to be fulfilled.
