Yay! Another dark, depressing, and old poem of mine. I actually reference this one in other poems as an emo cliché. :

Sailboat

~*~

Hope and despair erodes
the happiess-
once gone-
now lost.
In the Ocean of sadness,
I am on a lone sailboat;
the last threshhold
between me
and the ocean.
Life seeps
from the holes between my fingers,
from the gaps I have created
in my world.
Alone in a corner,
the Demons surround me-
there's no one to help me,
never to care.
So I sail along-
and wonder
what my purpose is;
and hope
that death comes quickly-
like an unseen knife
into my stomach.
