Chill
~~~~~
The colors you hide deceive everyone but me
With tears in your eyes, I see you search for yourself
Amongst the night sky where your confessions unveil
Only to masquerade with the manipulated ones
Holding your blessed candle like a senseless drone
While spectators around you sense your true delicacy
You hide your tears when you could wear them proudly
Leaving your uncertainty lavish in my darkened mind
Having contrived my own plan for these moments
They’ve slipped away from a simple purity
The careless folks sent you a chilling farewell
You walk out the door plunging the room in ice
Carrying the innocence only I envision
Dredged in sorrow, I am only too curious
The edges of me remain blunt from the truth
Why abandon thoughts you could easily rectify...
Why run from the truth when it sits next to you...
Watching them stumble on their own lifeless failures
I see them glance to your face like it’s your damned fault
Running away from problems that remain practically faster
The needles in your hand grow tempting all the while
You run to your haven to question yourself once more
Gorgeous the blood would be in your colorless eyes
But while you live in falsehood to hide your butterfly
In the blink of an eye, I stay awake and dreaming...
Your lack of presence has turned the world bleak
With that same inculpation knocking at your doorstep
Perhaps you should return to me and ignite my flames...
And exhibit the innocence you secretly hold...
