Snow falls silently, as
Its flakes dances idly,
Carrying whispers of dreams.

Standing under the
Welcoming stars, I whispered
Mine into the wind.

Nonsensically hoping
The imminent riddle, would
Come with prehensile happiness.

Then the wind came
And You, concertedly
Over the rocky path
I strolled blithely towards you.

Overpowered by love,
Stupefied by happiness
I failed to notice the leaf
Espied the other glowering.

Then You were
Gone, with the leaf.
That was last to leave
With the wind,
It came with before.

Silently, silently,
A tear finds its way
Into my reddened eyes
As I feed the fire
With my angst
