Darkness smiles, as
Creatures of the night
Sings and dances euphorically

The forbidden forest,
Welcomes Dolly and I.
A melancholic song plays
Exuding a haunting poignancy

With Dolly, my doll
We passed serrated leaves,
Our bodies lacerated, bruised
We showed no fear

Came an incommodious guest
A forlorn fallen angel
Its wings torn, stained
It cries for deliverance

Dolly says, 'Who are you?'
Angel says, 'I'm your friend.'
Dolly says, 'We hate friends.'
Angel says, 'Please accept me.'

Standing, I smiled morbidly
Shadows start to dance
Screaming monsters surround us
Sins without confession came

With Dolly, my doll
We left the forest silently.
Then dawn came, with
A woebegone smile, as
The angel wither away

We destroyed his tourniquet
A glint of happiness
In dolly's protuberant eyes
I said, 'We need no friends.'
