Dreaming

Dreaming of nothing but ashes,

While I was sleeping, the world came to an end.

How could I miss it so completely?

I’m trying to remember, but I can’t.

And now the world is lonely, dark and lifeless,

The sun left, and I don’t know where she went.

Stormy clouds forever weep like I do,

I try to stop it but there’s just to many tears.

All the world is drowning in sorrow,

Bemourning the loss of her greatest seer.

She was the light and life of this whole planet,

But now there’s only darkness filled with fear.

Gone the times of light and joyful laughter,

Forever echoing in ears that cannot hear.

Gone the times of careless love and passion,

It feels so far away yet oh so near.

I can’t imagine how I must survive this,

When everything once good has disappeared.
