Alone and frightened,
Entwined in endless distractions
Of the chaotic world
Tears of frustration leapt.

In crystal droplets, I ran
To my desolate moorland
The sky, my blanket
The earth, my bed.

The wind followed faithfully
And You, in your
Safe little haven, behind
See-through plastic windows

Your face, porcelain white
Your eyes, cold, unblinking
Your lips, porcelain black
You, essence of perfection

Clothed in black satin,
Long black silky ribbons
Soft, long black curls
Cascading down your back

I picked you up
I hugged you tight
I smiled with gratitude
I giggled in happiness

All day long we played
All day long we sang
All day long we talked
Whispers of secrets conversed

A name, you deserved
A name, you need
A name, you want
A name, I'll call.

Dolly, you shall be named
Dolly, you shall be called
Dolly, you shall have it
Dolly, you are my Friend.
