Standing in the bright circular room with no ceiling, I looked about confused. What must have been fifty doors lined the wall of the room but my attention was instantly drawn to the door with Lucifer standing before it. His hand was resting on Guy’s shoulder… but there was something wrong with the red head. His eyes were pupil-less and his face expressionless, like he was hypnotized.

“Hello Briley, I’ve been waiting for you.” the dark god cooed.

I started towards them but then a voice called out, “Arneyu! Stop!”

I turned to see Tilleara’s angel coming towards me from another door.

“Don’t go to him, you do not have to! You’ve prayed for your forgiveness with all sincerity! You’re free to come to Umi’s, or even Aba’s, door again.”

“Don’t listen to her, come to me. Guy is with me, he never asked for forgiveness. Are you saying you were ashamed of your love? Look, you’re causing him to cry…” Lucifer said, running a finger under Guy’s chin. Tears truly were falling from his eyes, eyes that were still so empty. “He’s given up so much for you. Come, join my court.”

Turning to Tilleara I tried for the first time to use my voice here, and it worked.

“I-I want Guy, Ti. I… I don’t want forgiveness if he can’t have it too. It would be selfish.”

Tilleara was in shock when I turned away from her and began my way towards Lucifer. Head bent down I could not see the victorious grin that played on the dark god’s face.

“Tilleara, ee moo on-omah ek-bal-oh dahee-mon-eyon.”

The grin twisted into a snarl, “What did you say?!” he barked at the angel.

“Tilleara, ee moo on-omah ek-bal-oh dahee-mon-eyon. In my name they shall cast out all devils. They are now Abba’s and I am now yours.”

“No! You’re name does not have the power to take both!” he declared defiantly.

“Enough Lucifer!” the greatest voice one could ever hear made everyone turn to where Aba had come from his door. Umi stood in the one beside him.

“She… she can not possibly have the power to take them both from me! She is only mortal brother!” Lucifer fought on.

“True…but you over looked something. Harvymn got her wings from her selfless sacrifice for Guy. So she can give them away for him as well. And like Harvymn had said, Arneyu already got his forgiveness. So you hold no grounds above her on their souls.” Umi answered for Aba who silently nodded when Lucifer’s angry eyes darted to him for confirmation.

With a mangled cry of fury Lucifer pushed Guy forward to me, releasing him from his hypnosis. He then grabbed Tilleara by her hair and wretched her towards his door. “I’m going to make you suffer for this eternally.” he hissed.

“Briley… I-I saw Ti! What’s going on?” Guy asked, resting a hand on my shoulder for balance as he shook off the remaining effect of the hypnosis. I smiled and was about to say something when he burst out, “Hey! What the hell are you doing to her you bastard!?” Glaring at the dark god, Guy pushed away from me and stalked after Lucifer.

“No Guy! Stop!” Harvym called, extending a halting hand over Lucifer’s shoulder. “Just go with Aba, stay with Briley, forget me!”

Guy heeded in shock, “But… but I can’t Ti…”

“Yes, you can.” she assured him, “You love Briley, stay with him. I’m not Tilleara anymore anyway. My name became Harvymn when I declared myself an angelic guardian of you. Now I have sacrificed that to free you to Briley. Don’t make this in vain!”

Tears rolled from Guy’s eyes again and his hands balled into fists, head bowed, “Ti… this is… it’s the second time you gave yourself up for me. How… How can that not prove our love?!”

“It proves My love, Guy, my love. And I know I can bare anything Lucifer puts me through knowing that you are with your love. Your love is for Briley, for you did so much to him and for him. He’s made you happy, now stay happy!” Harvym declared. Watching over the pair she had seen Guy truly smile for what seemed like the first time. Always with her it had been tears, and they had never consummated their love like he had with Briley.

“That’ll be enough out of you!” Lucifer exclaimed, kicking open his door and throwing her inside. Slamming the door behind her he snarled, “I bet you’re all really pleased with yourselves. You’re always fucking things up brother! I’m just lucky you are such a damned homophobe. I’ll be waiting for when you throw those two from your door.” And with that he disappeared as well through the door behind him.

Finding the strength to move again I rushed forward, throwing my arms around Guys middle I buried my face into his back. Some of those words had stung; I had almost feared loosing him. While we were lost in our own silent apologies, Aba squirmed slightly.

“He’s right you know!” he whined in a childish way.

Umi sighed, “Would you like me to take them?”

Scratching the back of his head thoughtfully, Aba looked over the pair a moment. “No… They’re coming with me. It’s just that Arneyu looks so much like our son and the concept of them….”

“Make up your mind! Who’s taking them? Lucifer can’t have them, Harvym… Tilleara, sacrificed too much.” Umi huffed.

“They’re coming with me, I just need to make up a place for them. Come on you two.” He said, stepping aside form the door. Umi pat his shoulder and disappeared into her own door.

Guy turned in my embrace to heed the god’s words. Looking up at him he just gave me a small smile and patted my head before leading the way through. The room we entered was another circular one with a round table in its center. Several nice chairs surrounded it with a large throne in the center spot, opposite of us and the door.

“This is where my court meets, this door to the side is where you are headed. Once you touch its handle it will open up to your place here. On the other side is everything you’ll ever need. Unless you are summoned to court, never return through that door, understand?” Aba instructed.

Nodding obediently we headed for the door. Guy pushed it open. On the other side was a beautiful room. It had deep navy purple walls, white marble floors and pillars, a canopy bed with white sheer curtains draped over it, a whine colored couch, and cherry wood table, and more white marble in the kitchen and bathroom. There was one more door in the place and curiosity saw Guy going over to open it. Outside, was Heaven. Walking up beside him I nudged my way under his arm and looked out at the splendor as well, but I had to step aside as he pushed the door back closed.

I looked up to him and he bent down. Wrapping his arms around my shoulders, he rested his forehead on one. “She gave this all up for us….”

Letting out a sigh I slipped out of the embrace and walked over to the couch. After sitting down I patted the space beside me which Guy quickly occupied. Grabbing his head lightly I pulled it down so he was lying beside me looking up from my lap.

Guy blinked up at me a moment, and then the tears started again. Facing away he cried, “Why… why did you go and die?”

I furrowed my brow, what a silly question. “Because.” I whispered almost inaudibly. He turned his head back up, probably unsure if he had really heard that. I gave a small smile and bent to kiss him, my hair falling around our heads like a curtain. After a moment I drew away form the deep kiss to say, “I love you.”
