By: Luna M.
I refuse to become a shadow,
Hovering; watching my life pass by me,
Too quickly? No.
Suddenly my life wouldn’t be mine though.
Gone. Full of fog and mist.
The surprise of my own choices,
Would disappear in ways.
I would never enjoy love nor bliss.
The sun would turn black,
The bright moon; white with laughter,
Would be my world; the only one,
Replacing the life that I’d lack.
Thoughts would disperse,
Leaving me with only the element; grief,
To weigh me down over a sea of tears,
In which I’d discuss what could possibly be worse.
As I said, I refuse to become a shadow,
I’ll be my own and live.
Light will cover my skin, in comfort warmth,
As I’d discuss what could possibly be better.
I refuse to become a shadow…
It’s a bit deep, but many poems are. I rather like it and I hope you do too! Please review! Haha! I think that rhymed… Toodles for now!
