I’m trying to make this poem as long as possible, so I’m going to write it in parts. Hope you enjoy!
I am a tear ready to fall,
I have no voice, but am ready to call,
I’ve traveled the world, yet have never moved,
I am an angel, yet I must be proved,
I am a thief, but have stolen not,
I’m in mid-war, though have not fought,
I’m a burned out candle that still shines bright,
I’m a wingless bird that has taken flight,
I am a song that can’t be sung,
I can speak all languages, yet have no tongue,
I can run, though cannot walk,
I am a key without a lock,
I am a life without a soul,
To treat me wrong you’ll pay a toll,
I’m scared of all, yet have no fears,
I’ve no enemies, but see your leers,
I have no brain and always think,
I am an eye that’ll never blink,
I am a weight which will never tilt,
I am a flower that shall not wilt,
I am a student, although I teach,
I have no arms, but I can reach,
I am a friend, but is alone,
I am a ring that needs no phone,
I am sour with a drop of sweet,
I am a mess that’s always neat,
I am here and I am there,
I help no one, though I care,
Very low, I can fly,
I never lose, only tie,
I am a bore and a mystery,
I have a cup, but have no tea…
That’s one whole page, single spaced (on paper)! I’ll write the other side tomorrow…and another the next day…and another….and another…and so on. PLEASE REVIEW and tell me what you think. If you have any ideas for a verse or two that I don’t have written down in rough or on fiction press, then I might add yours on. Try not to make them too silly. Funny, yes…Silly, no. lol!
