Title: Chinaberry Leaf
Author: Heather P.

White chinaberry leaf;
A float some little thing,
That drifts across the eye,
and now a brown oval flickers to the side.

Pink hibiscus blossom;
Bright under the Summer sun,
that opens up to the light
and now watches the clouds go by.

Lavender rose petals;
So soft and tender but bruised,
it hurts so deeply,
and now it wilts as my fingers fall down.

Red crabapple fruit;
The hard lump of juice and skin,
that repels my grip
and bobs up only to come around and tease me again.
