Fairies Knot
Light is burning
Beautifully bright
Sunlight reflecting
Off the moon through the night
The lone wolf howls
The wind continues to sigh
No humans are about
At this time of night
The night is full of critters
Owls go as they please
But all of the sudden
The animals seem to freeze
For breaking the boundaries of life
With a single sneeze
Is a teeny tiny English girl
Clambering threw the weeds
She pays no heed unto the night
Yet stares up at the moon
Wishing, praying, hoping
That her mother finds her soon
A shiver passes down her spine
As she feels the wildlife's glare
Slowly she turned her head
Trying not to stare
For there stood the shadow
Proud as you please
Staring down at her angrily
For the night world is his to keep
But now this tiny, foolish mortal
Had gone and woken his wrath
The animals all shed a tear
For their peaceful days were gone at last
The shadow did not take kindly to strangers
And would stay angry even as she went upon her way.
For there lies the secret, you see?
For the shadows in the night
Believe in them and they are real
They give you quite a fright
But even then they cause no harm
For touch us they cannot
All you need to keep them away
Is a simple fairies not
But oh, what is a fairies knot?
And surely fairies are not real?
They are real enough my friend
We could not exist without them
Not even have a meal
Fairies are dreams
Fairies are hope
Fairies are wishes coming true
But then, what is a fairies knot?
And how should I find one too?
Don't fret my friend
Have no doubts
I will see you through.
For you see I am a fairies knot And I am you.
