The Insanity Gaze
As I lay on my bed,
Staring at the stars,
Why are they overhead?
And why can’t I see Mars?

As I think, I yawn,
Must be morning break,
the moon is nearly gone...
Why am I awake?

I ponder ‘til the evening,
Then in a flash I’m out,
From the wind, my ears are ringing,
As I hurry to the spout

For only in the moonlight,
Is her reflection seen,
Into the water is my flight,
To watch her as she cleans

Her hair as beautiful as the rainbow,
her face shines as the sun,
Her skin, oh, how it glows!
I sneak up for some fun

She doesn’t know I’m watching,
She doesn’t know I’m there,
She’ll soon know I’m watching,
And I will make her care

She’s gorgeous, want to touch her,
but will she scream in shock?
Or will she dive back under?
My laughter will she mock?

As I reach out to taste,
that sweetness in her lips,
will she recoil without haste
or tease me with those hips?

And as I press up ‘gainst her,
a laugh and then a sigh,
I think she won me over,
with those mystical grey-blue eyes.
