Title: Through the Ivy

Author: AnnaSun

Rating: PG

Date: 2004

Through the ivy,

There’s no happiness here,

A dark, dark foreboding world,

Torn apart like paper,

The only hope shines light,

Seeping through cracks in the stone.

We are torn in two,

The cracks fragmenting apart,

Ripping away the shattered souls,

Deep with in our hearts.

We cannot cry, we bleed tears,

Streaking our face, our blood shot eyes,

We long for sunlight to stream through the brambles,

that shape our face, that cut,

So dark is our world,

Through the ivy,

Evil has awoken.

AN/: I haven’t written a angst/horror poem like this before. Do you like this poem? Do you think it strays from my others? Is too dark? Please leave feedback. Thank you.
