Love's first kiss

Spills sweetly

From ruby lips

Tasting like

The sweetest wine

Feeling immeasurably

Exotic

Love's first pain

Spills sorrowfully

From sparkling eyes

Tasting like

The bitterest of tears

Feeling immensely

Horrible

Love's melody

Spills genuinely

From alluring chords

Tasting like

The ripest of fruit

Feeling horribly

Tempting

Love's first victim

Spills warm

Sticky crimson

From the purest of veins

Tasting like

The bile

In the pit of the stomach

Feeling

Drowned by life's tides

Love's next victim

Spills into the next phase

Of life

Still young and exuberant

Tasting like

The milk of the newborn

Feeling regretfully

Innocent

Love's mistake

Spills hurtfully

Onto jagged rocks

Tasting like

The bitter sweetness of life

Feeling joyfully

Like regret

Love's cycle

Spills never-ending

Through time

Never growing weary

With the old

Tasting like

The finest of wines

Only to be replaced

By the bilious bittersweet

Feeling cherished

And yet dreaded

Treasured

And Yet Despised

Lust

And Yet Disgust
