This is just a song I wrote a little while ago.  It has no relation to my life.

Haunting

I can’t think about tomorrow…

‘Cause the pain that’s never ended

Will come back to me again…

I watched you walk away

In the fading blood-red sky.

And the broken glass below my feet

Mirrored my broken heart…

Our love was like a river

Flowing swiftly o’er the rocks

And splitting when it meets

The sea…

Chorus

So why can’t I

Get you out of my head?

You’re like a specter,

Haunting me,

Endlessly.

My life is better now,

And yet,

You’re still here.

When we were in love, I soared o’er the clouds,

And then I fell through

The thunder clouds,

My happiness erased.

And though the sun shined over us,

There was a shadow looming still.

To split us like broken glass,

Impossible to fix…

(Repeat chorus)

And even though I’ve lost you now,

I can’t forget the way you made

Me feel…

I try and I try,

But you won’t go away.

So I’ll wake every morning

To face the pain…

To face your specter…

Alone…

Did you like it?  Please review and tell me!

Namarie,

Alleyne Ellessedil
