**FOUR YEARS LATER**

Andrew, Kat, Isabelle and John all attended the same college and were good friends with each other still. "So what's on the agenda for tonight?" Isabelle asked the group.

"I don't know I kinda like the idea of staying in," John said circling an arm around Isabelle's waist.

"You horny toad, how about we actually DO something, we haven't done anything in like two weekends," Kat replied teasingly.

"Oh all right," John said sighing.

"Aww, is my poor baby upset?" Isabelle asked pinching his cheek.

"Yes but you can make it better," he replied kissing her.

At first it was just a sweet little peck on the lips but he quickly decided to deepen it. "Andrew, we might have to turn the hose on these two. Hey, break it up! People are starting to take bets on how far you can get your tongue down her throat," Kat replied laughing.

Reluctantly Isabelle and John broke apart from each other. "C'mon Kat, we better leave the two males to we have some stuff to go shopping for anyway."

With that the two girls walked off leaving Andrew and John to talk. "So do you have the stuff?" John asked.

"Relax man, I got it I told you I would, and let me tell you it wasn't as easy, Kat wouldn't let me go out to get it myself." Andrew replied with a laugh.

"You mean Kat knows?!" he asked loudly causing everyone to look his way.

"No, no, I mean she wouldn't let me go out without didn't know what I was getting," Andrew quickly said.

"Oh thank God, I thought everything was going to be thrown down the shitter," John said clasping a hand over his heart.

"Nope everything is set for tonight, I won't tell Kat about it till only a few minutes before everything goes down I swear it," Andrew promised.

"Okay thanks buddy."

"Anytime Johnny boy."

Kat and Isabelle were in the store when Kat's cell phone rang. "Hello?" she said answering it.

"Hey babe, it Andrew, you girls dress fancy for tonight we're going out to eat," he replied.

"Okay see you tonight," Kat said hanging up.

"What was that about?" Isabelle asked.

"Andrew said they're going to take us out tonight we've gotta dress fancy." Kat replied.

"Oh yay! I love going out, usually something good happens," Isabelle said, then her face dropped. "Or something bad, I mean John's been acting if he's breaking it off?" She added panicky.

"Oh Izz, come ON! After four years? John wouldn't do that, you guys are meant for each other." Kat pointed out.

"You're right I'm just being 're in we're meant for each other." Isabelle said to herself.

"Right, now let's get back to my apartment so we can get ready it's already five." Kat said walking towards the exit.

Back at the apartment Isabelle and Kat did each other's make up and hair. It was always easier that way. "You look sensational!" Kat said throwing her head back.

"Why thank you, I have the best hair stylist doing my hair, and the best makeup artist too," Isabelle said laughing.

Kat joined Isabelle in the laughter then got serious. "You know, I can't believe we've been with John and Andrew for four years."

"I know, I remember how we used to say we'd grow old together just me and I guess it's not just us after all," Isabelle replied with a smile.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. "The doors open," Isabelle called out.

Andrew and John then entered the room. "Are you ladies ready?" John asked.

"Yes just let me get my shoes on," Kat said walking over to her closet full of shoes.

"Hey baby," John said as he kissed Isabelle on the lips.

"You two are riding together, so Kat and me will ride together," Andrew said as Kat walked over to join them.

"Sounds good to me," Isabelle replied.

With that the couples split and walked to their cars.

While they were driving Kat noticed they were going somewhere she'd never been before. "Where are we going?" she asked.

"It's a surprise," he simply replied.

"Fine don't tell me, I don't really care," Kat lied.

"Kat, I know 's eating at your stomach," Andrew said grinning.

"Yes it is!! That's why you should tell me, I mean we could get there and I'd be dead because it ate my stomach away," Kat said dramatically.

"No you won't die, trust me."

"How can you be so sure?"

"We're already there."

"Oh," Kat said looking out the window. "Well then c'mon let's scoot, it's not polite to keep a lady waiting."

"Okay, okay," Andrew said laughing.

They met up with Isabelle and John and entered the restaurant. It was than any restaurant they'd been to in a while. 'I wonder why they decided to take us somewhere so busy.' Kat thought to herself.

But she shrugged it off when they're waiter came to seat them. As they were seated Isabelle and Kat noticed John whisper something in the waiter's both looked at each other and shrugged.

"Let's make a toast," John declared.

The three others raised their water and waited for John to make his toast. "Here's to four beautiful years of laughter and love. Even to the bad times for they only made us stronger. And may many more years that is."

"Here, here!" Kat shouted clinking her glass with her two friends and boyfriend.

Just then three waiters came back carrying an enormous cake. They stopped at their table and set it down, it was such a beautiful cake. It had pinkish, white icing on it, with frosting flowers covering along with rainbow sprinkles. In big letters it said: "IZZ WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

The entire restaurant fell silent, along with the four friends. John then stood and brought Isabelle to the edge of the bench booth. "Isabelle Morgan, you mean the world to me and I love you with every fiber in my body. I don't know what life would be like without you, hell, I don't know how I lived before I moved and met you. You complete me, make me whole, I want to be with you forever. Will you marry me?"

Kat's mouth literally dropped and she quickly covered it with both of her hands. Isabelle looked down at John and tears gathered in her eyes, she hadn't cried since her and John's biggest fight two years ago, everyone thought they were over then, but they proved them all wrong. "Oh my god," Isabelle said sniffling. "I can't believe this is happening."

John stayed on his knees patiently waiting for Isabelle to regain her composure. "Of course I'll marry you!" Isabelle shouted.

John then stood and enveloped her in a bear hug. The restaurant erupted in applauds, some even stood on their feet. Kat congratulated her friends, she couldn't have been any happier for Isabelle, she'd been there for her forever, and she was finally going to be happy for the rest of her life.

After the evening was over Andrew and Kat returned back to their apartment. "Wait here," Andrew said letting go of Kat's hand.

"Wait, why? What are you doing?" Kat asked.

"Just wait here, I'll be *right* back."

Kat sighed and nodded while Andrew disappeared into the apartment. Seconds later he reappeared and tied a blindfold over her eyes. "What are you up to Andrew?" she asked.

"You'll see," he whispered against her ear.

She shivered; it still surprised her that his whisper caused her body to lose control. "Can I take the blindfold off yet?" she asked anxiously.

"Yeah, let me help you," Andrew said in his soft sexy voice.

When the blindfold was removed Kat gasped and brought her hands to her mouth like she had earlier that night. Rose pettles were scattered all over the floor, couch, and chairs. Candles were lit and scattered throughout the room as well. Then in the middle of the floor was a table with their senior prom picture and then in front of that on the floor were the words "MARRY ME?" in long stem roses.

Kat turned to Andrew with wide tearful eyes. "You did this for me?" she squeaked.

"I didn't do enough for you Kat," he replied.

Kat couldn't believe what she was hearing, how could he think this wasn't enough, it was more than. Before she could speak he went on. "Katerina, I love you more than words can express. I want to spend the rest of my life expressing it to you. Will you please marry me?"

"I can't believe you asked!! Of course I will!!!" Kat exclaimed jumping into his arms.

Two months later John and Isabelle were married, then two weeks after that Kat and Andrew were. Kat was Isabelle's maid of honor and visa versa, same with John and Andrew (best man that is.)

And they spent the rest of their lives together. Sure they had their fights and disagreements but all they had to do was believe in each other.
