Alone

An isolated figure stands
Amidst the shadows
The woodlands breathe silently
In tune with your heart.

Light footsteps fall
The only sound in a world of noiselessness
Magnified tenfold
In the heart of the woods
As agile and swift
You run.

Wind passes gently through your hair
Fanning lightly behind you
A golden cloak
That flows as you turn.

Sharp eyesight penetrates all
To see what lays before
But troubled mist clouds the clear light blue.
You've denied it often,
But ever it lurks in your soul.
How can you say that you do not love?
The beating heart that lay behind your breast is no stone.
Maybe no matter of love,
But the fearlessness shown in battle does not extend,
For physical pain compares not to the anguish of mental.

Amidst the shadows, a figure weeps,

Alone.
