Hacker: Registered (Part 1)

Prologue: Logged On

            It was a dark and stormy night; the year of 3000Z has arrived. A young thirteen-year-old boy ran through the dark alleyways, jumping over obstacles and trying to escape his pursuers. His midnight hair fell over his hazel eyes as he struggled to keep on running. In his right hand was a small silver disk, which he kept a firm grip on. Then a single gunshot had been fired. The boy fell onto the cold, hard ground; the disk fell out of his hand. Then a group of people who looked like government spies surrounded the boy with their guns all pointed down at him.

            “Brother…I’m sorry,” the boy muttered before slipping into unconsciousness. As the men took the boy away the silver disk remained hidden in garbage. It was safe, for now…

Naomi’s POV

            The year 3000Z, a time where everyone on Earth seems to be living in fear…

            A corrupted government no rules over the miserable people of this planet, there is no hope, no salvation, or so we thought…

            No one knows where the government’s base is, not even most of its officers. Not even all the members of the government officials know what is really going on behind those closed doors.

Will we ever be free from this torment? Will the people ever see the light again? Where is the hope?

            The group Edge, whom the government said was a terrorist group, was now gone… Were they really our enemies? Or were they our salvation?

            My name is Naomi Akiyama, and this is my story… Our story…
