Akurei-Shinzo: I’m back, so tired though…Yeah! Tomorrow is my birthday! And I finally turn fifteen! Hurray! So how do you like Delivery Boy so far? Makes me want to have some pizza now… Mmmm…pizza. Anyways here’s chapter 2! Please R&R!

Chapter 2: These Friends of Mine

Takeru stared through the glass cabinet at a MP3 player. There was no way he could afford this. Not right now at least.

“So,” said a cold voice. “Are you going to buy something? Or are you just going to sit there drooling all day?”

Takeru looked up and saw his best friend Jie, staring down at him with his cold brown eyes. Jie had always been the antisocial type, kind of hard to figure out why they were such good friends. Anyways this was Jie’s family’s store, and it had just about any electronic device you can think of.

“Aw come one Jie,” said Takeru. “Can’t you just put it on my tab?”

“Remember the last time we tried that?” asked Jie as he punched his right fist into his left hand. “I had to beat the crap out of you because you owed me a lot of money and wouldn’t pay up!”

“I try not to,” answered Takeru backing away a bit, Jie may be the smartest guy he had ever known, but Jie also took martial arts, so let’s not go there… “Are you really my best friend? How about a discount?”

“Let’s see if you can work this equation out, what does idiot plus fist equal?”

            “I take that as a no…”

“Hi Takeru!” said a cheerful voice. The two boys looked down and saw Jie’s younger sister Pei. Thank goodness she was here, Jie usually was less violent around her.

“Oh,” replied Takeru. “Hey Pei. What’s with the outfit?”

“I’m going to a dance class today,” said Pei as she smiled widely. She was a cute little eight-year old girl. Her hazel eyes shined brightly as she twirled around in her small tutu. Her raven-colored hair was tied back into two pigtails.

“I wonder where she is,” said Jie looking out the door.

            “Who?” asked Takeru.

“I’m sorry I’m late,” said a quiet voice behind them.

Takeru turned around and saw, May Ying! It was definitely her, who else had such pretty brown eyes, the long ponytail, and that charming smile.

“Uh…ack…e…”stuttered Takeru, he was now cherry-red.

“Oh, good afternoon, Takeru,” said May-Ying, as she bowed. “I’m here to take Pei to her dance class, Jie.”

“Thanks a lot May-Ying,” said Jie as he knelt down and helped button up his sister’s jacket. “Have fun Pei.”

“Aren’t you coming with me big brother?” asked Pei, innocently.

“No,” answered Jie. “I have to watch over the store.”

“But, I want you to come with me!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll be here when you come back.”

            “But…”

“Don’t worry, I promise, next time I’ll go with you. But not today, okay?”

            “Alright…Bye big brother! Bye Takeru.”

May-Ying nodded to Takeru and Jie and took Pei by the hand and led her outside. Only then did Takeru breathe. He collapsed onto the ground, and gasped for breath.

“If you like her so much,” said Jie. “Why don’t you tell her?”

“You’ve got to be kidding me!” answered Takeru. “Who’d want to go out with a loser like me?”

“For the last time, you’re not a loser. Well…maybe you are a little bit of a loser, but at least you’re not a complete loser… What makes you think you are a loser anyways?”

“Come on, Jie! I work as a delivery boy! No one wants to go out with a delivery boy!”

Akurei-Shinzo: That’s all for today folks! Farewell! Please review!
