Days will pass and nights would follow,

As we farewell the caress of the day.

Shadow will overtake this blanket of azure,

Pumping with a dark shroud known as darkness

And engulfing the clouds to form stars.

This silent night, an assassin’s ecstasy,

Rings with enchanted music, a bittersweet note.

Abandoned as it may be,

Crowded my heart remains.

Is it this uniform I bear,

Clinging to my skin,

Is it the constant negativity

Broadcasted to me,

That prevents me from discovery?

I force my gaze upon the feral ocean above,

Hearing the cries of a thousand whales

And the defiant roar of a lion,

Shadowed by the distant murmur of a child’s laugh.

My answers are not out there, I say,

In this vast and furious world.

Yet, this world is an aspect of me

Therefore,

I must search the world.

My heart races with turbulent emotions,

Of entities unknown, distrusted.

If I cannot look without,

Perhaps I must look within.

You return to me, you cradle me as a newborn;

The fool walking this two way road

With the divine rose within my hand.

The gravel beneath my calloused soles,

Does not penetrate the rough skin.

The stagnant air within my lungs

Does not awaken me.

The infinite knowledge from

Within this inexhaustible pool

Feels cool against my virgin lips.

Beauty through inexperience.

I cry now, for when I look upon you

I will see not the child that once was,

But the confused one I have become;

Because you, are the reflection

Of I.

Share a moment with me, and cast away your sorrows

Make me not repent my mistakes of the past,

And live with me this moment;

To foreshadow the future,

Not dwell within the history.

The inescapable knowledge,

The Oneness of my being,

Yearns to entwine with you –

To become one, yet remain two

In this divine conjunction known as

Love.

When you feel a certain weight upon your heart,

Or a sense of loss and longing,

Remember who you are, your purpose

And the Oneness of the universe.

Always am I here for you.

I close my words with warm, fresh tears

Watch the rippling smoke of the clouds

Oscillate in the ocean as foam.

This ocean, inextricably,

Belonging to the sky.

Just as you always will,

Have a sense of belonging,

And a place within my being.
