At a rather strange time, in a rather strange place, a rather strange event occurred.
1777, between December 31st, 00:00am, a child was born......
A woman lay in bed, unmoving, unresponsive.
"When did this-How did this happen?!" Cried out a man, as he stormed into the room. An older man held a small baby in his arms, and he looked down at the dead mother. "I don't know, my boy. She just got fat so suddenly juring dinner... We don't know how she could have gotten pregnant in an hour...." He was gazing uneasily at the baby girl, who seemed calm and tranquil, staring back at him with abnormally large, blue eyes, "This child-"
"-Is a demon! It killed my wife!!" The man who had just entered raised his voice and stormed towards the older man and the child. A girl will long, blonde hair blocked his path.
"What are you thinking father?! It could not be a demon child!"
"Move out of my way, you little fool!" The presumably father shoved his daughter out of the way and grabbed the baby, taking one last frantic glance at his wife before running outside with the child. "Father, wait!" His daughter ran out after him, as the old man shook his head helplessly and began removing the rags and buckets of hot water he had used to help the woman give birth to her last child. "It's such a disgrace to lose a miracle." He mumbled.
Outside, the man had already made it through some thick woods, where he finally found a desserted part too far off for any other villagers to wander. He glared down at the "demon child."
"You witch! You killed my wife.... Demon child..." He threw her to the ground, but a gust of wind blew suddenly below her, breaking her fall tremendously. He stared in disbelief, now his mind set on murdering the baby, a tunnel vision. The child was standing, and staring sadly at him, as if to pity him. Imagine!
He picked up a stick, about to strike the demon child, when another gust of wind blew it from his hands just in time. Tree uprooted themselves and came crashing down. Or maybe he was just going crazy. Finally, a tree was able to strike him, it was like nature itself was against him in this war against.... against a BABY!! Darkness engulfed him, as a distant cry was heard, "Father!!" The daughter finally came to the seen, shocked and out of breath. It looked disasterous, trees were uprooted and on the ground, there lay her father, dead, some blood staining the grass, and last of all, the child standing, and looked apoligetically at her. Her large, blue eyes reflected guilt and sorrow.
"Y-You really are a demon child...."
There was a long silence, that is, until the sound of moving branches were heard. The girl watched in amazement, too dumbfounded to speak, or even move, as the trees began to pick themselves up and, "walk," back to root themselves into the ground, in the same place they had grown their enitre lives. "I.... I understand...." Slowly, hesitantly, she approached the child. Rolling up the sleeves of her priestess gown, she carefully picked the child up from the ground.
They both stared at each other for a long period of time, and it seemed to have been a connection between them, even if it were only for a few seconds it seemed. She then smiled, a smile of seemingly love, and forgiveness, "You are nature's child, aren't you? Then.... I'll name you after mother.... You are from now on, Nina Larmaka!"
As if it fully understood her older sister, the current priestess of the village, she smiled back, and began giggling. This was perhaps, the strangest thing to have ever happened in the young priestess's lifetime!
"Me and grandfather will take good care of you," She laughed, cradling the child and looking sadly down on her father, who had seemingly lost his mind a few minutes ago. The death of his wife, being so sudden, somehow driven him insane. But she'd have to put that behind her, she was an orphan now, except that she still had her grandfather, but she also knew his time on Earth was nearing its end. However, a priestess is a priestess, and as a priestess, she mayh do nothing except to move on.....
Nina Larmaka..... What an odd name!

We will go further into what our home planet Earth really is. I will show you how Nina will "break the barrier," and "shine a new light," as the official priestess of Larmaka!
