Chapter 22

My very first day as a sixth former, I suppose you wonder how it all ended, as I sit here now I wonder why it did end the way it did. First of all Reagan, the night of the prom she was taken by the police and taken to a psychiatrist, they are placing her in a secure unit to get her the help she needs, the Walker children are now living with their grandparents in London, they will be disturbed when they grow up im prepared to bet.

Mario Andre, he's still a teacher here at Holderness high, he is my sixth form tutor, we never speak of the incident on prom night, he has left his girlfriend Jane and Is currently single.

Rosie, Rosie is how she always was, she is still together with Gary he was surprisingly kind about the abortion and Keith.

Keith. Keith never got what he wanted, he is serving a prison sentence in Portsmouth for Murder. I hate him for everything he did to us in this past year

Jonathan, we buried Jonathan a week after the prom, I went to the funeral with my parents they have never asked or questioned me about him, they probably think I'll have a break down or something. I love him so much it was hard to let go but I had to, I know he is always with me, I know he will always love me.

Me, Fleur Byers I am now seventeen I was just sixteen when Jonathan and I found each other, I have grown mentally, emotionally and physically over the past year, I passed my GCSE's with A's and B's I was very shocked but something told me to keep going, the school let me stay on even after Jonathan, I think it was compassionate guilt more than anything, they allowed me to start the sixth form here, I came, even though every time I walked past Jonathan's office I remember that night we were snowed in, it makes me smile, I've been focusing on the happy times we had before the prom. I kept the dress Jonathan bought me for the prom, and the jewellery but they are not my most precious possessions, my memories are the most precious.

Today is January 28th as I walk slowly through the church yard I reminisce on the day Jonathan and I met, how he got me name wrong, I really couldn't believe what we had come through. I knelt down at the grave side and brushed some leaves off the top of the head stone, reading the inscription again. 'As the white snowflakes fall, as if by magic, anything can happen on a snow day'. Jonathan Walker Beloved man to all who knew him, inspired many people's lives. We shall all miss you Jonathan. With Love ...

I never let the inscription be finished, it was open for the person who was reading it at the time, I wanted everyone to love Jonathan as much as I had. I placed down the snow drop on the grey head stone. The wind whipped my hair as I stood up and turned around.

"Hello Fleur" a deep voice said to me. I looked up into the chocolate eyes of Mario Andre.

"Mario" I said to him quietly.

"Here again" he said, I nodded, "I see you everyday you know, every time you walk through this church yard". I looked at Jonathan's grave. "Come on" Mario said. "Lets go to the chocolateria". I nodded and took the hand Mario was offering me, as I walked away from the grave I felt the snow beginning to fall, the flakes fell in my hair and on my eyelashes. "Goodbye Jonathan" I said "For now" the wind whipped again taking my words and the snowflakes into the air and carrying them off to someone else who would experience a great love, after all anything can happen on a snow day.

THE END.
