Refuse to clear the steam from the mirror
The obscure vision of my face surrounds me
And yet I prefer it to the truth
How did I get here?
I look back and the stones that formed my path are fading.
Ahead there's a fork,
Truth and desire are battling for my attention
I've given up
Left alone to scream
Unable to make the choice
Can't face what's right in front of me
Ashamed of the facade in the mirror
Long ago I should have listened to the voice
It knew the truth
Warned me away from the pain
And like a fool I've ended up here.
