and i imagined
you are singing that song for me
that every breath, every word, every tone
is meant only for me

and i felt a chill running along my spine
the coolness of your voice
felt like silver ice cubes caressing my skin
as my mind wandered to that place

as your warm breath is near my nape

i felt goosebumps rise along my arms

and as i close my eyes
i saw your sparkling cinnamon eyes in my mind
your gaze intent upon my face
and as if i was frozen in time
and nothing else mattered other than to stare at you
as you held my gaze
your lips curved into a smile as bright as the sun
lighting up this empty room

and still i hear your voice
but i am puzzled
because it sounded so near
and as i open my eyes
your amazing eyes met mine
and i was puzzled by what i read in those cinnamon depths
