To teach a hurricane

(A blessing)

Here are the forces opposing.

Strong hurricane demons lash out,

Eastern destruction brings fear,

Time grows short but I do not notice,

I pray and push for my life,

Only love and understanding will see this through,

The hurricane would be quelled with gentle words,

But impatience and obsession with control it was reared,

Faith with compassion will have to stand.

Oh protectors,

May you be blessed,

Save the frightened and scared. 

May those who harm learn new life through calm contemplation.
