Part I: Reincarnated Leaders
SEASON 1 - Light and Dark
Episode 1: The Motorcar Racer Champion Arrives!
It's a fine day in Tokyo, Japan and the whole city is hustling and bustling as usual. The weather is about 15 degrees; not too warm, not too cold. Today just happens to be Monday, the first day of the week after a long relaxing weekend. With the white fluffy clouds floating in the bluish sky, everyone works at his/her own occupation with full energy and high spirits. Mothers and fathers sit comfortably in their office on the lofty business buildings that dominate the landscape of Tokyo, while grandfathers and grandmothers rest and pray in the quiet gardens of Zen. The kids, well, they're in school listening to their professor's lecture about math, history, and the science.
As we scan across the city, we notice that the Tokyo Motorcar Racing Stadium is quite empty today. That's explainable because nobody has the time to watch motor racing on a busy day like this.
Taking a closer look on the runway, we see a red and white motorcar speeding around the corner, screeching loudly as the wheels gain much friction. The car does a sharp turn and continues on its way, heading towards the end of the racecourse. The driver's heart pounds faster than ever and he can barely hold his excitement as he sees the finish line in sight. He crosses the finish line and sighs in relief as the man with the flag signals him to stop. The car halts to a stop in front of the gas station.
The driver gets out of the car and takes off his helmet. He's about 5'10 and he has short spiky black hair, gorgeous black eyes, and a lean muscular body. His sexy abs and well-defined muscles are shown through his well- suited motorcar jacket and blue navy jeans. He poses a cool, relaxed attitude as he walks to the snack counter to get a coffee and a pack of chips. We shall now diverge our attention to the very beginning of Leadership Destiny.
"Celes Yun! What are you still doing here? You're missing out on school! " a burly man with beet red face stomped over to where Celes sat on the stadium bench drinking coffee.
Celes glanced at the manager of the racing car stadium before grinning and replying cheerily, "I still have another three laps to go Mr. Totoya."
"Celes! I'm warning you a last time. Go change into your school uniform and head to school before I ban you from racing for good," Mr. Totoya yelled angrily, glaring at the black haired boy.
"Aww," Celes whined, "No fair! How about one more lap then? Just one more please?"
"No! I don't want you to miss the first day of class!"
"I'll catch up quickly I promise and I can always get the notes from a classmate."
"No is no, Celes. Don't argue with me."
"But I'm a motorcar racer, and I don't need school. My career's going to be motorcar racing. Please?" Celes begged with cute puppy dog eyes.
"Alright I give," Mr. Totoya sighed, while his lips curved into a gentle smile, "But just one more lap you hear? Anymore than that and I'm throwing you out."
"Yeah, yeah, I hear I hear!" Celes was already bounding towards the gas station with a satisfied, exuberant grin on his face.
Mr. Totoya shook his head, "That boy."
Later That Day
Celes walked into the principal's office quietly after the secretary permitted him in. Smiling, the principal motioned Celes to sit down in one of the chairs. Celes quickly handed over a bundle of papers that he had filled just a while ago.
"Celes Yun? Is that correct?" the principal asked, examining the paper work.
"Yes it is sir," Celes nodded his head politely.
"Late on the first day. Not a very good start to the school year," the principal commented, frowning.
Celes apologized quickly, "I'm sorry sir, I promise not to be late again."
"That's good to hear. Here's your timetable," the principal handed a piece of paper to Celes, "your class has already started 10 minutes. You better get going. Do you have the books?"
"I got them from senior administrator earlier sir."
"Very well. You may be dismissed now," the principal stood up and showed Celes out the door.
A bald man with a black uniform suit sat at the front of the classroom,
lecturing about imperialism in Japan. None of the students were actually
paying attention to the teacher's monotonous voice. Mr. Futoyaki was the
worst history teacher ever possible, according to most of the kids in the
class. The girls in the class daydreamed and had fantasies about the boys
in the school while the boys talked in a low whisper, occasionally laughing
quietly.
A certain violet-eyed boy sat at the back of the class, reading an
Inuyasha comic book. Like the rest of the students in the class, he could
care less what the teacher was saying; he always studied for tests on the
last minute anyways. He ran his hand through his dark navy hair and then
softly brushed his bangs away. His face was void of emotion at this moment
and whenever a girl would turn around and wink at him, he would give them a
death glare that could kill them 100 times over if looks could kill. He was
not the type of boy to mess with. In fact, he had the reputation of being
one of the most ruthless and cruelest guys in the school. He enjoyed
picking on younger guys and he was never seen without his own loyal "Dark"
gang behind him.
The gang had been formed a few years back when the boy AKA leader first
came to the school with his terrifying demeanor. Many boys had willing
joined "Dark" due to the admiration of their leader's tough attitude. The
teachers even complied with some of "Dark" order, as they were terrified of
the physical strength of the boys. Hence, all the students that were apart
of "Dark" were let off for being late to class, and any trouble that they
caused in the school would be blamed on innocent victims who were not apart
of the gang. No one dared go against "Dark"; if they did, they would be
beaten to a bloody pulp and mocked by the gang all year long. The leader
was extremely pleased with all the attention and high regard he was
given.until.
The door of the classroom slammed open, and a spiky black haired boy walked in. He scanned around the whole classroom to receive gasps and shocks from all the girls and grunts of disapproval from the boys.
Mr. Futoyaki looked up from the book he was reading to the class and smiled broadly at the new student. Mr. Futoyaki stood up to shake hands with the boy and faced the rest of the students.
"Grade 11s, we have a new student in our class. Please welcome err?"
Mr. Futoyaki stopped and grinned sheepishly.
"Celes Yun sir."
"What a pleasure!" Mr. Futoyaki exclaimed, "The motorcar racer
champion! Boy are we lucky to have you in our class."
Celes blushed furiously as all the girls swooned over him and sighed
dreamily. Most of the boys gave him an angry, jealous glare and some
pretended not to see him. However, there was one boy with blue mystical
eyes with beautiful blonde hair who smiled at him and Celes grinned back.
"Ah! Let's continue on with our lesson shall we? Celes please take a
seat beside Mr. Hagamuchi over there." Mr. Futoyaki pointed to a seat
beside the blonde haired boy.
Celes walked over to the empty seat while avoiding the drooling girls
who gazed at him. He felt a bit uneasy with all the girls asking him
questions so he tried starting a conversation with the boy who at least
gave him some peace.
"Hey there!" the blonde hair boy beamed at Celes when he caught Celes
looking at him, "I'm Kangori, but nobody in class calls me that. I'd prefer
if you call me Renyuki, it's my nick. I forgot your name again?"
"Hey Renyuki," Celes smiled, "I'm Celes."
"Ooo," Renyuki awed, "Dude you're the famous motorcar champion right?
Wow! I'm a big fan of motorcar racing. I've seen you on TV before. You're
so cool!"
Celes ignored this comment but he was grateful that at least somebody in this school liked his sport. "Renyuki's a cool kid, he's so sweet and adorable. I haven't seen many boys like him. He's almost angelic and pure. I mean, he is kind of good-looking and I'm sure a lot of girls are after him. Maybe I should talk to him more. We could be good friends, and he seems nice enough.and I'm just ignoring him. I guess I'm not being nice Well what can I say to him? Its so awkward. Hell I've only met him and I'm already thinking too much," Celes thought to himself and dozed off for a bit.
The bell suddenly rang, and class was over.
"Yo Celes," a cheerful voice called out his ear. Celes turned around to see Renyuki smiling at him.
"You feel asleep champion!" Renyuki laughed, his mystical blue eyes dazzling with amusement, "You okay dude?"
"Yeah I-I'm fine," Celes stammered, "I just hate history class."
"Really?" the blonde haired boy grinned, "Me too. Looks like we have something in common eh?"
"Yeah," Celes agreed, looking deep into those magical deep blue orbs. Little did he know, Renyuki was also gazing into Celes' beautiful black eyes. The boys suddenly came back to reality and rushed out the door when they saw that everyone had already gone to their next class.
"Well what's your next class? Biology?" Renyuki asked, catching up to Celes.
Celes nodded, "Yup. But I need to go get my Biology book from my locker first okay?"
"Sure thing. Oh, that reminds me. I have to go get my books as well, " Renyuki grinned sheepishly.
Celes smirked, friendly tackling his friend and received a light punch on the shoulders.
The two boys laughed happily as they headed toward their lockers.
Lockers
"What's up dude?" the navy haired, violet-eyed boy smiled coldly, "You're the new kid in our class eh? The motorcar racer champion?"
"Yeah I am," Celes looked at the other boy indignantly. He definitely didn't like the attitude of that kid.
"Nice to meet you," the boy smirked, "I'm Keydrin, leader of the "Dark" gang. My boys and I dominate the school. We rule the teachers, and do everything we please. You know you could really be a valuable member; I can even make you vice leader. C'mon what do you say, want to join us?"
Celes considered the offer. It would be fun to join them and be on the top of everything but he wondered why Renyuki wasn't apart of the gang and how Renyuki would think of it? His question was answered by Renyuki's sudden interruption.
"Celes! Don't join those trash arrogant losers! Who do they think they are?" Renyuki huffed indignantly, "They should go rot in hell."
A crimson red-eyed boy with raven black hair streaked with silver pushed Keydrin out of the way. He threw a punch at Renyuki in the stomach, and decked Renyuki two times in the face.
"What the hell was that for you bastard?" Celes yelled angrily, "He didn't do anything to you!"
"NOBODY, I repeat NOBODY says that to any member of the "Dark" gang," Keydrin glared coldly at the spiky black haired boy, "Especially not to my best friend Shun. Don't even fucking call him a bastard again you hear?" Keydrin grabbed Celes by the collar and pushed him against the wall.
"Don't mess with me," Celes said in a icy tone and kicked Keydrin hard in the nuts, sending Keydrin flying backwards, hitting his head on the opposite lockers.
The rest of the boys were furious and they all charged at Celes, ready to beat him to a bloody pulp. Renyuki was still sitting in one of the corners, tendering a bruise that Shun had given him. He looked worriedly at Celes who was about to get trashed by Keydrin's whole mob but he couldn't do anything.
"Stop." It was Keydrin. He looked at his gang members gratefully. "Let's go guys, we're wasting time on this brat," Keydrin gave a cold glare at Celes, "and this little weakling." Keydrin jeered at the Renyuki who was still on the floor rubbing his wounds. The "Dark" gang took one last look at the two boys and walked off with Keydrin leading the way.
"Jerks!" Celes tried to hold back his anger through gritted teeth and felt like beating the shit out of something.
"I know. Just leave them be. Hey, want to go for an ice cream after school? " a masculine voice came from behind.
Celes spun around expecting the person to be Renyuki but it wasn't.
