Melissa Morgan or as her friends call her Lissa, is 24 years old and lives in Woodbridge New Jersey with her 14 year old sister, Annabelle, for the last three years.

Their parents visit once or twice a year, all their time is spent traveling and business meeting for their father. Melissa got tired of the big house and maids and decided to go out on her own and her sister wanted to go, so Melissa took Annabelle with her.

“ Anny! Let’s go, you’re gonna be late!” Melissa calls out as pours her self a cup of coffee.

“ I’m coming, hold on!” Annabelle calls out from her room upstairs.

“ You better hurry up, Matt’s gonna be here soon.” Melissa says as she sits down at the kitchen table.

Matt Thomas and his brother Jack, have been friends since Jake and Melissa were 15.

Matt is 28 and owns one of the hottest clubs in New Jersey, club Angel eyes. He never wanted to be like his father and brother, lawyers.

Since Jake was a kid, he’s always wanted to be a lawyer like his father. Now he is, he works along side his father, at his firm.

Jake and Melissa met in high school and became best friends, a little after that, she met Matt. They became each other’s family because they knew what each other were going through, their parents were never around so all they had and still have are each other.

“ Hey.” Matt says as he walks into the kitchen from the backdoor.

“ Hey, Anny’s still upstairs, you know her. Thanks for giving her a ride to school.” Melissa says as he sits down in the chair next to her.

“ You say that every morning. Her school is on my way so why not give her a ride.” Matt explains again to her. Every little thing Matt does for her, she must thank him at least ten times.

“ Fine, I won’t say it again.” Melissa jokes as she looks into his blue eyes. She always found it strange he has blue eyes and all the other men in his family have greenish hazel eyes. She was told he gets the blue eyes from his grandmother.

“ Have you talked to Jake lately?” Matt asks, he figures if anyone has talked to Jake, it would be Melissa.

“ No. He’s been busy with work, your father is really working him.” Melissa says, feeling a little sad she doesn’t spend as much time with Jake anymore. It’s been almost a week since they’ve talked.

“ Awe, don’t be sad.” Matt teases.

“ Shut up.” Melissa says as she slaps his arm.

“ Oww, that hurt. What would Jake say if he knew you were a hitter? All your dreams of living happily ever after together would fade.” Matt jokes as he tries to keep a straight face. He always makes fun of her crush on Jake.

Matt’s the only one who knows how Melissa truly feels about Jake, she’s in love with him. She doesn’t tell Jake because she knows for a fact that he only sees her as a friend, she’s not even his type.

“ You just don’t know how to shut up, do you? Just leave it alone, one of these days he’s going to hear you. Then I’m going to have to kill you and you’re too cute to die.” Melissa says as she pinches his cheek.

She hates when Matt rides her about Jake, if she knew the reason he does it, she might understand and be shocked.

“ Alright, I’m ready.” Annabelle says as she walks into the kitchen.

“ Finally, let’s go.” Melissa says as she opens the backdoor.

After dropping off Annabelle, Melissa decided to go with Matt to the club.

“ You never told me how you came up with the name for this place.” Melissa says as she takes off her jacket.

“ I don’t know it just popped into my head.” Matt says as he sits down. He could never tell her the truth, that he named the club Angle eyes, because that’s how he sees her, it’s what he calls her in his head, angel eyes.

“ It’s a pretty name.” Melissa says as she looks around and sees the champagne colored walls and the tables and chairs.

She turns and looks at him, and watches him look through files and bills. It amazes her how committed he is to this club, it’s like his baby, it would kill him if something happened to the club.

“ What are you staring at?” Matt says as he looks around, clueless that what she’s looking at is him.

“ Nothing.” Melissa says as she goes and sits next him. “ What are you doing?” She asks as she looks down at the pile of papers.

“ Looking over the liquor menu, the Johnson’s are hosting a party here tomorrow and I want to make sure everything’s right.” Matt explains.

Since she’s looking down, Matt takes this time to just look at her. He starts at her arm and follows it up to her neck where he stares, wondering how her skin would feel against his lips. Wondering if she would moan to his touch. It’s taking everything inside him to not reach out and touch her. After all theses years, he’s gotten pretty good.

Matt knows it’s wrong, but he’s wanted her since she was 15 and first looked at him with her big brown eyes, her angel eyes.

He envy’s his brother everyday because he has Melissa’s heart and doesn’t even know it.

“ I have to get to work.” Melissa says as she stands from her seat.

She works as a photographer at one of the local magazines.

“ Alright. I’ll see you later.” Matt says as he walks her out.

“ If you hear from Jake, let me know. Bye.” Melissa says as she leaves.

Matt goes and sits back in his seat ‘ Always worrying about Jake, I wish you would get over him and let me love you, but that’ll never happen. You see me the way Jake sees you.’
