Mindless gossip protruding through
The silence that is my mind

I try to hide from the chatter with music
But my attempts are in vain

My mind is over flowing
With unimportant occurrences

My sense are blending
Into this mess of incomplete sentences

Without warning, the
Gossip is interrupted

By a blood curdling gunshot
Followed by numerous shrieks

All I hear are the girls around me
I do not scream, I merely stand still

Analyzing the dead body
As the others run about like startle crows

Sirens are heard outside
As is the whole neighborhood

The other girls have also fled
Leaving me with the lifeless blonde's body

Three uniformed men with guns bolt in
There is shouting and metal unlocking

It is not till then that
I notice the pistol in my hand.
