Never Truly Myself

I used to think I was the same as everyone else.
I dressed in the "hip" and "stylish" clothing.
Even used the same make-up,
But I was never truly myself.
I felt as if the world was closing,
And I felt as if I were a little lost pup.
Then one day I gave up,
Because I was never truly myself.
I began to wear what made me happy,
And put on the make-up that I liked.
I met more people like me,
And was finally truly myself.
