Cut by a knife, or stung by sharp words
Slapped by a hand, or dropped into reality
Falling down a hill, or tumbling into the darkness of your mind
Time heals all wounds
We all know the pain of heartbreak
The tears of a dear one departed
Screams of "Why?" cursing of fate
Time heals all wounds
Throughout the passing of our souls
As we are born, die, then reincarnated
We show these pains to those who care
And dwell in them for those who don't
Time heals all our wounds
Even if it takes a dozen lifetimes
Our hearts and souls soar into the sunlight of joy
Basking in the light of a million happy moments
There will be cloudy days
And sometimes, even great storms
We are thrashed and judged
Many times we are burned
Time heals all wounds
Our souls rise from the dark of the rain
Our hearts searing with pain from our trials
But always does the sun shine again
And mend that which was broken
Fall into the arms of a loved on
Lose yourself in a song
Know that everything will be all right
all wounds
