Of Wars and Famine…

Can it be

that the darkness has forgotten the sun?

Is it she

that stands poised on the distant horizon?

Too long has the song of death filled our ears.

Too long has the throng been hiding in fear

of tomorrow,

of today,

of another man's gun...

Can it be

that the darkness has forgotten the sun?

Is it true

that the day always follows the night?

Is it you

who's been waiting to bask in the light?

Too few are the true, the keepers of life.

Too blue is the hew of the new morning's strife

as it tries

in the skies

to conquer the fight…

Is it true

that the day always follows the night?
