A/N: Heh, this is the product of me sitting up late, in a bad mood, reading poetry and listening to Haunted and My Immortal by Evanescence... I am actually very happy with this poem, the rhythm sort of happened on its own and I like the way it came out. R&R!

For you, my love

As the breath shuddered out of you
The flowers closed and browned
While your hand slipped out of mine
The tide ground to a halt

Where the trilling bugles? Where the crying gulls?
Gone. Gone for you, my love.
Why the snow upon the mountains? Why the moaning wind?
Laments. Laments for you, my love.

As your eyes grew glazed and dim
The stars turned out their lights.
While you slowly slipped away
Rivers lost their voices.

Where the laughing sunshine? Where the twinkling stars?
Dark. Dark for you, my love.
Why the rain falling from the sky? Why the ceaseless sobs?
Tears. Tears for you, my love.

As your voice ceased to whisper to me
The world came crashing down
As you died, still and somber
In heaven angels cried.

For you, my love, the gulls and bugles
For you, my love, the snow and wind
For you, my love, the sunshine and stars
For you, my love, the rain and sobs.

For you, my love, the falling world.
For you, my love, the crying angels
For you, my love, the dagger in my heart.
