The race is over and
Gone are the fans
Every one's gone but
The janitor man
And one lonely guy in a car on the track
With the shadows in his face and the dirt on his back
And he pushes and races as fast as he can
though everyone's gone
and no one gives a damn
he's pushing and racing to reach the end
with no body watching to see his last stand
at survival, going just as fast as he can
the janitor stands and gives him a hand
of applause for his cause of working to run
he's gonna die soon, but not til he's won.
