Smoke-Dancer

There are drums playing
Playing to the fire
People are dancing
Dancing to the sky
An old woman is walking
Walking to her daughter
She hands her child a special stick
A stick that is smoking
Smoking a thin line of white
The drums get louder
The dancing gets more intense
Then at once there is silence
Not one sound or on movement
The old woman's daughter sways
The drumming continues slowly
A flute joins in
The girl dances
Dances with the smoke
The smoke that forms a ring around her
The smoke that heals
She is now the Smoke-Dancer.
