Watching
Through eyes
Blindly remembering
Brown eyes
Caring eyes
Still a trace of reminiscence
Mother eyes

Wishing
As she blows out candle lights
Singing and clapping
Surrounded by happiness
Blissfully unaware
Because there is no injury to this young's soul
Age 2, still innocent

Rushing
To home, to school, to practice
Wanting to please
Wanting to rebel
Not caring
Still so naïve
To all the wrongs of the world
Age 8,
Ignorant of the big 'out there'

Running
Queen of Speed
Loving the feeling
Flying past
Like the wind
Only her
Free
Thinking of nothing
At last

Then
Finally stopping
Coming in terms with reality
Realizing exhaustion
Wanting to rest
Run away
Because she's discerned
How terrible the world can be
But then picking up the pieces
Wanting to live
To make it better

Gazing
Through the windows to souls
To memories and emotions
Remembering
Special times
Comforting Reprimanding Loving
Mother eyes
