This piece is written about and for my friend who has the most gorgeous eyes…and I want to show her that I love her…in strictly a FRIENDS way…friend, you know who you are. This one’s for you.

Kindred Eyes

Lashes flutter

And a glow smiles on her face

The hazel glossy finish

Enrapts all who gaze to see the light behind her eyes

Reflecting serenity

Brings an energetic calm to calm the crowd

All silent with a love-compassion

Weaving a cocoon around her halo

A doe lost in the wilderness of traffic

Delicate butterfly kisses grace her face

Radiating a sweet rapture

Her soul shines through her eyes

Making kindness seem a cruelty

Her gentle spirit laces her actions

Leaving candycoated teardrops on her path

For us to find and treasure in our palms

Promises of a pure stare

Weaving a cocoon around her halo

Radiating a sweet rapture
