Surfing at Midnight

Enticed by the moon on a Midnight Sea
And piloted by impulses and memory,
We slip into dark waters breaking subtle quiet,
Far past shore breaks and human sight.

Eyes blinded to arriving waves on the Distant
And trusting our souls' actions in the Instant,
We dangle in the Teases for a perfect kiss;
New lovers lost, unpolluted, in nature's bliss.

And comes the crest, full, brewing in desire,
We pull furious, balancing on seconds to expire.

Clenched hands give way to purity of the rise
And shivering lips exhaust passionate cries,
We caught a midnight wave in the Moon's song,
"Perfect take off, my love, now lets ride on!"
