The Lone Angel
I watch the ripples in the water as they are etched through time,
They lay frozen through my head without intent to displace,
With the one needle possessed inflicted through me softly,
I walk amongst nature while enraptured by solitude,
Watching the angels above, flying through the night for paradise,
With an open eye on one, which flew so lovely and splendid...
I have watched that angel fly on every cold winter’s night,
It was a certain elegance she expressed as she soared into the sky,
I watched her heart thaw mine and her beauty manipulate,
Tossing me into a world of enchantment and passion,
Where the vivid sun would gleam with all of its radiance,
Setting in the west to fill the night with serenity...
I have sought many angels before, only to be forsaken,
I’ve witnessed my endeavors fall motionless to the ground,
But too long have I stood here, through the window of a storm,
Enthralled in dreams of where my beloved angel would take me,
Dreams where no man can lay exploited like a puppet,
Or turn bleak by the self-indulgence of reality...
The ultimate day may come when I encounter that angel,
Enchanted fully by her everlasting grandeur,
Wishing of her entirely to carry me away,
From the perpetual wilderness the other angels have left me,
To the anonymous paradise she flies for through the night,
To be her truehearted guardian for all of eternity.
To be attached to her and to protect her from sin,
I wish to be awakened by the lone angel again...
