There are some areas in life that I just have no luck in. I don't
know why, but it has always been that way. And even though sometimes I
think I'm in an ideal situation and all my luck is going to change, I'm
always wrong. No matter what.
The first thing that I have absolutely zero luck with is love. Jimmy
Turnipfield asked me out in the seventh grade, and I was happy beyond
belief since I'd loved him for practically my whole life. Of course, then
I had found out it was all a stupid joke to see the look on my face, which
was later reported as "priceless".
Then there's Johnny. I'd thought my curse was all over and Aphrodite
was smiling down upon me. Johnny could always make me laugh, and he was
strong and tall. I guess I really thought I'd found true love, especially
when he moved in with me. (I didn't want to move in with him, because
living in a trailer park never really had appealed to me.) But I found out
that I'd been all wrong about my curse being thwarted three weeks ago when
our relationship ended painfully. I still cry about him.
Anyway, the other thing I have absolutely no luck with is timing in
the laundry room. We only have two washers and two dryers in the
Grapefruit Acres apartment complex laundry room, and whenever I go down
there, they're always full.
There are a lot more things I have no luck with, also, like hamsters,
but those are the two that really tick me off.
