Just out of Reach

Eyes long gone from the day of light, awake to see a morning rise.
His hair waves amongst the clouds of gold.
Struggling he floats upwards towards the light.
He reaches for a face above, but grabs only water.
Bubbles of air flow from his mouth and nose as he screams for her to
return.
His eyes open to his off white ceiling, just like it was last night and the
day before.
