This play/opera/drama is a joint project I wrote with my dear friends; Lesley the Pretty Girl, Yee Lian the Genius and Ephemeral Angel (yes, she is a member of fictionpress) Read and enjoy. We did all the music and everything but you'll just have to read this one out and use your imagination. We apologise if it isn't up to your expectations.

Butterfly

Act one

(In the garden, two children play together. They run to a bush and hide.)

Marcus: Is there ever a day,

When the two of us could play?

Axelia: Far away from all the kings and queens

To a place we won’t be seen

Marcus: I wish we could fly away

Axelia: To a place far away

Marcus: We will never be apart

You’ll always be in my heart

Axelia: Do you promise me forever

We’ll always be together?

Marcus: Silly girl can’t you see

You’re worth the world to me.

(They run off)

Ixora: Those children are so naughty!

Willow: Oh won’t you let them be,

You know it won’t always be this way,

For now just let them play…

(Summer wakes up)

Summer: I remember his face,

I recall that place,

But why is he not here,

When I am in fear…?
