By: Garnet Aurelia

I'm addicted to misery
like a bee to a flower
like clouds to a sky
like birds to a tree.

I'm addicted to misery
I can feel it's power
I'm addicted to misery
like I'm addicted to you.

I don't like this pain
but I can't live without it.
I can't go a day,
without making it hurt.

I'm torturing myself
by staying near you,
like a throbbing scab
there covered by dirt.

I need it in my system,
like a drug, so sweet,
so free, so important
this misery makes me.

No longer a child,
I'm no longer weak.
I'm fighting this every day,
till it takes me.

So this goes on,
every day, every night,
this misery that obsorbs me.

I'm drowning, I'm choking.
I can't see the light,
it's you that brought this on me.

I'm addicted to misery
like a bee to a flower
like clouds to a sky
like birds to a tree.

I'm addicted to misery
I can feel it's power
I'm addicted to misery
like I'm addicted to you.
