She smiles while you are sleeping
she watches the window pane
the silence she is keeping
dissolving with the rain

She's crying out for more
She watches you awake
Her feet can't leave the floor
No bed she can't unmake

Behind her silence hiding
a pool of pathos waits
To keep the time she's biding
she concedes to your debates

Her honesty won't pay the rent
so unto you her will is bent
