What Will Come

Can one let go,
To what they can not hold,
To fall into the black abyss,
And be no more,
To be afraid to fall,
And yet not die,
To land in a world,
Where one cannot live,
Will one's stomach churn,
At the thought,
And will they forever fear,
What cannot be avoided,
To look into the future,
Knowing it will come,
Fearing it's arrival,
When one does not know what lies beyond.
