tonight at noon she will
sprinkle her shoes with stardust,
lace cinder-dusted fingertips
through her hair,
press red lips against
the mirror
before pressing them against him.

tonight at noon she will
leave the house in tight black boots,
fish net stockings
and a red leather robe
that catches just below her waist-
a watch concealed beneath this
leather-flesh.

tonight at noon she will
meet him in the full brunt
of morning

because she never leaves the house after midnight.
